UNIT StILLS & FILM EVENTS
Working with TV distributers, production companies and independent filmmakers, I shoot behind-the-scenes to capture client/producer relationships, crew and equipment as well as illustrate larger scale productions and technically creative shoots. Unit stills are also crucial for marketing and PR including first look shots, archival material as well as high resolution poster images and those intimate moments between crew and talent on set. I also shoot film events such as cinemas and the likes of Bafta as well as BFI premieres and other crew events.
I’ve been married to a DOP for 15 years and am a huge film buff who loves discussing and analysing The Female Gaze which I have written about here. I also run Female Film Club to discuss and elevate female directors, writers and cinematographers. I shoot on a Leica SL2 which has great low-light capabilities (meaning I can avoid using flash). I also shoot analogue on 35mm and 120mm.
“It was awesome having Donna there capturing those intimate moments between filming!”
“Thanks Donna. Absolutely love these shots. Captured the atmosphere perfectly!”
I also shoot analogue!
