unit stills

Working with London production companies and independent filmmakers, I shoot behind-the-scenes to capture client/producer relationships, crew and equipment as well as illustrate larger scale productions and technically creative shoots. I’ve been married to a DOP for 15 years and am a huge film buff who loves discussing and analysing The Female Gaze which I have written about here. I also run Female Film Club to discuss and elevate female directors, writers and cinematographers. I shoot on a Leica SL2 which has great low-light capabilities (meaning I can avoid using). And I love combining events/shoots with taking portraits!

Unit stills are crucial for marketing and PR including first look shots, archival material as well as high res poster images and those intimate moments between crew and talent on set.

I particularly love short films and being on set, seeing storytellers weave their magic and the crew use their technical skills to drive emotion through lighting and composition.

And I’ve also worked with some central London cinemas and film screenings including the Regent Street Cinema and Bafta, including Sky documentaries, a Steven Spielberg private event and short film showings.

I love working with production companies and the creative teams too! Head over here for more on shooting teams.
